We loved Caracas! And who wouldn’t? The British Council supported this project which came in a similar form to Tel Aviv – we ran workshops where producers wrote music to a brief, which was followed by a CDR Special. We learned about a genre we hadn’t encountered before -Tropicana – which is smooth dubby house. It’s not just the attendees learning through us, it goes both ways. Music is a universal language, we went there expecting the music be to more inspired by the local culture, but it wasn’t so much – the producers knew more about music internationally than we did.
